end and beginning

The counting is over. The ceremnony happened yesterday at 15.00. The experience of getting the new nationality I shared with my friend with whom I went to get the paper. The speech started with: "Holland is a strange country. It was just a water before. It is build up from nothing, basically".

For the people who are new in giving comments - no gaming no faking. Reality can be strange enough to be movie like. Now I am officialy Dutch. Friend of mine said it is just a beginning.

So, let the counting of the beginning starts. You are still very welcome to join.

how does it feel

How does the counting feel FOR YOU? Are you afraid you might say something which could be “politically incorrect”? Are you afraid of sharing your thoughts publicly?

falling asleep

23 hours and 25 minutes left… When it is difficult to fall asleep, we start counting as well. How many dreams did you have in some other language than your mother-tongue one? How many times did you feel longing for some other identity/country/language/smell/season/culture? How many times were you looking for the right words to express longing/restlessness/desire to move on? How many times did you feel at ease with where you are?

game or not

Last day is here! Are you still here, counting? Curious what is all this about? Is this a game, you ask. Is this a game?

23 hours 37 minutes left … When counting aloud we want to keep an track of progress. What is the number of a desired places we want to be in the same time? What is the number of a desires we can’t even express? What is the number of the mistakes we make? What is the number of the denials about ourselves?

fear

Being afraid of loosing my roots?

what if...

What would you do if you would have just one day left to be Serbian/Dutch/Japanese/Spanish/Portugese/Italian...?

puzzling

Less than 24 hours before the last day...

"Isn't that what everyone wants? To dream, and to think that all you have to do is wake up in order for it to be over, that all you have to do is open your eyes in order to see the things the way they really are?"

day 3

How is it being Dutch? How would you describe a Dutch?
